Transmission

CREATOR COMMENTARY: This photo series depicts pieces of high-voltage power cables responsible for the transference of power across long distances. High-voltage power cables are utilized for longer distances as they carry a lower-rate of line loss than low-voltage cables, despite being more hazardous from a safety standpoint. Colored lighting transforms the hybrid carbon and glass fiber composite core into a visual representation of the electrical power it transmits.
