I wrote this song in response to my response of being home from Iraq. I was technically home but could not have felt further from it. I was safe but knew more danger than I had ever known. The world I had returned to was gray, muted, and incapable of providing me the things I left willing to die for. So… I wrote this song.

Matthew is a transfer student at Chapman and majors in Philosophy. When he is not at school he is raising his 2 year-old daughter Sage in San Clemente. His passions beyond family and school are spearfishing and surfing.
