Creator Commentary:

It feels as though the world is passing into a new phase of awareness, similar to a transition into adulthood. Technological advances and social movements cause us to view certain figures and events differently, often in a way that is jarring and difficult to cope with. This poem pays homage to Frank O’Hara.

*Editors’ Note: We believe this submission connects to our theme in that Hillary Clinton seems to draw conspiracy to her, and has inspired a form of gender conspiracy. Controversial figures can generate a mythology in popular culture that usually has little to do with their real identity, lending itself to conspiratorial manipulation.
