Dreaming of 1937

TITLE: Dreaming of 1937

AUTHOR: Almog Avidan Antonir

CATEGORY: Death

AUTHOR COMMENTARY:

This short film relates to the theme of entropy in that it portrays a relationship headed toward death. The film depicts a young man and woman, still innocent, as they verbalize the future they will face together. What appears as a wonderful present relationship, will inevitably turn into a loveless tragedy. While the visuals in the film illustrate a state of balance, order, and happiness, it is apparent that the couple, soon to be married, will gravitate toward chaos. Just as entropy is a move toward chaos, the relationship of these nameless characters will soon propel toward its death.
