Infection

TITLE: Infection

AUTHOR: Jasper Anderson

CATEGORY: Death

AUTHOR COMMENTARY:

This is a makeup from a short film. The character is experiencing a cancerous infection brought on by a Dr.-Jekyll-and-Mr.-Hyde-type drug. The cancer is not only bringing the character closer and closer to death, but doing so through an entropic process as the body’s cells fall into chaos. Included are images of the sculpture and final makeup. The makeup appliances are made of gelatin, which also relates to death, as it is made from the bones of animals.
