They Say She Kisses Southern Strangers

Title: They Say She Kisses Southern Strangers

Creator: Nicole McLendon

Category: Mind

Creator Commentary:

People constantly create illusions of other people in their minds, idealizing one person and villainizing the next. In my poem, the character’s point of view of this other girl is an illusion, and idealization made up of fantasies and rumors. These illusions often lead to comparison, which is another theme.
