This picture captures the beautiful innocence captured in a candid moment when a childlike spirit flies free, unburdened by insecurity and fear. Within the moment, the model not only forgets about the daunting tasks and obstacles of growing up, but she indulges in her imagination- refusing to let it be taken from her. She matures and ages, but she never loses her inner child. The strong primary colors represent reverting to the basics once more, not being cluttered by all the different elements of growing up and losing sight of the important things- family, love, friendship, and dreams. While some consider dreams as illusions or delusions, the childlike spirit praises them as realities and possibilities. In this moment, some may say the model has “her head in the clouds,” but to those in tune with their childlike wonder, they will understand the true sense of grounding she is experiencing.

The author is Nicole Rieko Karrmann, an aspiring actress and mediocre potato, born in Newport, California but raised in Dallas, Texas. She loves to read and get lost in fantasy worlds (as well as get far too attached to fictional characters…). But she also loves the experience of getting whisked away in other worlds through movies, television,… basically just escaping reality. She is passionate about her cat, Maui, and her best friend and sister, Taylor. If all goes well, Nicole plans to be an actress and adopt many kittens.
