This essay is an exploration of the many ways in which a society’s overall subconscious can morph and shape our own individualities and mindsets. Since British colonization, Indian citizens have adopted a new identity — one that incorporates both western and eastern principles that, on occasion, conflict to create a tension that is explored within this essay.
