Creator Commentary:

There comes a lot of dread in realizing that you missed an important phone call, especially in the era ere the cell phone. This poem, formatted as a pentameter’d sestina, is an interpretation of the long-distance relationship between Persephone and Hades as he waits with messy anticipation and a little bit of uncertainty for her to come back to him. The title — which is also a telephone pun — represents his very human fear that the slightest misstep on his part will put her out.
